Specialty Snack Baskets A Little Birdie Told Me Part 2

Sunday, August 9, 2009 by Dale Coover

Housewarming gift baskets can be made to measure, with your choices of items being placed in it. You can go in for specialty snack baskets, which are going to have specialty items like special and exotic teas, coffee, cookies, chocolates, nuts and fruit, possibly chocolate cigars, and gourmet snacks, which can be enjoyed by everybody. If your host is a keen golfer, you would want to go in for golf balls, practice cups for puttying and even golf tees in a wide-ranging variety and colors!

If you want to help finish up the chocolates or the fruits and the nuts, which were a part of the specialty snack basket, it is possible that you chose a mixture of Degeneve chocolates with a little touch of coconut, delicious pistachios, butter toffee, cashew brittle, almonds roasted in honey, almonds coated with cinnamon, mmmmm! Or perhaps you decided to give yourself a treat also and bought a specialty snack gift basket for yourself with grapefruit, Mango, kiwi and oranges!

So now that you know that there is such a wide ranging variety of items to choose from, to make up the contents of a special and memorable housewarming gift basket, all you have to do is make your choice!

If there is a baby in the family, your gift basket might have some extra items for baby, like rattles, baby booties and other useful items for the bundle of joy. The parents are definitely going to appreciate this thoughtful gesture to welcome baby into its new home.

Housewarming Gift Baskets or A Little Birdie Told Me Part 1

Welcome To Your New Home

Congratulations, you have finally done it; you have a home of your own! This is the place where you’re going to start up a new series of beautiful memories, and what could be better than to be greeted by a thoughtful  from someone you hold dear.

Not only are housewarming gift baskets one of the nicest things a new hostess would like to have, especially when you are visiting her for the first time, but it is going to be a matter of conventional good manners that you take a gift along with you, the first time you go visiting your best friend in her new house.

Remember that you can get specially made-up housewarming gift baskets, so there is no question of recycling things which you have already received from uncle Joe or auntie Kristy, last Christmas, and want to pass on to Pauline as a housewarming gift basket! If your hosts are keen gardeners, they are going to enjoy a gift of fresh plants.

Always look for something that can be cherished, or even finished quickly in the shape of chocolates or bottles of wine! You can also choose a sweet little pet to grace your housewarming gift basket, but only if you know that the hosts like pets around the house.

So if you are looking for something exclusively special, in the shape of specialty snack baskets, with which you can wow your hosts when you go visiting them for the first time, you would want to look for something which is decorative, useful, practical, and memorable or just something which can be kept as a keepsake.

Summer Treats – Yummy Gift Baskets!

Tuesday, July 14, 2009 by Dale Coover
Looking for a delicious summer treat—for a special occasion or no occasion at all? Consider specialty gift baskets! They make the perfect wedding, shower, birthday, anniversary, Father’s Day, housewarming, congratulations, or “just because” gift for anyone who likes food! Meat and cheese gift baskets—in addition to fruit and nut selections, gourmet and kosher food choices, chocolate themed baskets, and even coffee and tea collections—are sure to tempt your taste buds and give recipients an extra special treat.

You can even get them for yourself! What a great way to surprise your significant other, to kick off a picnic in the park, or to try delicious new easy-to-carry food choices as you travel together to your favorite vacation spot.

Meat and cheese gift baskets are substantial gifts that provide real sustenance. Featuring real Wisconsin cheeses like Monterey jack, medium cheddar, zesty cheddar, pepper cheese, sharp cheese, Swiss cheese, and hot Swiss cheese; original and garlic Wisconsin sausage, beef summer sausage, hot summer sausage, Bavarian summer sausage, and beef salami; cheese spreads like creamy jack cheese spread, hickory cheese spread, Merlot cheddar cheese spread, and tomato basil hoop cheese spread; and specialty crackers including wheat crackers, peppercorn crackers, water crackers, wheat wafers, and more, these gift baskets aren’t just a snack—they’re a complete meal.

Most meat and cheese gift baskets contain even more than sausage, cheese, and crackers, though. Often there are several courses packed into the wicker basket or other container they come artfully arranged in. Hearty selections and collections might include mustards (hot n’spicy, yellow, and/or grained), salsa, smoked salmon, caviar, pepper jelly, green or garlic stuffed olives, smoked pate, spiced almonds, snack mix, pistachios, veggie dip, pita chips, and Cabernet Sauvignon hoop cheese among dozens of other delicacies.

Other snack items like pretzels and pretzel nuggets, peanut butter pretzel nuggets, foccacia snacks, trail mix, tortilla chips, and mini Italian breadsticks are also frequently included.

But let’s not forget the sweet treats! Before dessert, enjoy gourmet coffees, English tea, or cocoa mix with biscotti, milk or dark chocolate sticks, chocolate dipped spoons, mocha almonds, or chocolate covered cherries, blueberries, cranberries, and apricots. Then for dessert there are decadent selections tucked into some of the meat and cheese gift baskets like chocolate cheesecake, cappuccino wafers, hazelnut wafers, chocolate chip shortbread, chocolate chip cookies, raspberry cookies, almond cookies, and milk chocolate pastilles. They’re enough to make your mouth water just thinking about them.

Delicious candies and chocolates including toffee, truffles, peanut brittle, fudge, old-fashioned salt water taffy, and/or Ghirardelli chocolates are other great additions.

Many of the meat and cheese gift baskets come packed in or with a wicker hamper or basket, a picnic basket, a cutting board and/or cheese knife, and/or coffee mugs. Could a gift or a special day get any easier? Gift baskets are quick and easy to order and have delivered, and they always make such an impressive presentation.

For your Jewish friends, family, acquaintances, or business associates, you can also opt for a kosher gift basket. Smoked salmon, salmon pate, la chevre fresh goats milk cheese with roasted garlic and parsley, baby gouda, crispy flat breads, marinated braided mozzarella cheese, fruit hamentashen, rugelach, apricots, prunes, and other kosher food choices create beautiful, thoughtful gifts.

The perfect accompaniment to any of these selections is one of the other specialty gift baskets like the fruit and nut baskets—with assortments of mixed or specialty nuts and delicious fresh fruits— grapefruit; navel oranges; green, red delicious, jonagold, or granny smith apples; pineapple; Asian, comice, bosc, concord, columbia d'anjou pears, or seckel pears; or dried apricots and prunes.

A wine gift basket would round out the occasion perfectly. Make it a French country picnic with a bottle of La Vielle Ferme Cotes du Ventoux Rouge wine, a fruity and spicy Rhone red blend with ample body. A gift basket containing the wine along with fig and walnut jam with goat cheese make a delicious appetizer and sets the mood for the rest of the meal. (This also makes a wonderful, romantic wedding or wedding shower gift—or the perfect gift basket to take on the honeymoon! Or send it to the couple who just announced their engagement or just moved into their first home.)

There are many other great wine selections for gift baskets, as well. For instance, Ironstone Cabernet Sauvignon, DeLoach Cabernet Sauvignon, L de Lyeth Cabernet Sauvignon, Tin Roof Cabernet Sauvignon, Tintara Shiraz 2005, Veramonte 2007 Sauvignon Blanc Reserva, Francis Ford Coppola Rosso, Francis Ford Coppola Bianco (Pinot Grigio), Stone Cellars by Beringer Merlot, Hanna 2007 Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Kenwood Russian River Pinot Noir, and Murphy-Goode Chardonnay are just a dozen of the fine wines that go beautifully with many dining selections and for many occasions and work wonderfully tucked into a gift basket with complimentary food items.

Regardless of the occasion—or for no occasion at all—beautiful gifts just don’t get much easier than when you give a gift basket. Well, except maybe for just writing a check. But then where is the personal touch in that? A gift basket has so much more character and charm. And it leaves a lasting impression in the eyes of everyone who sees it—and especially the gift recipients who get to enjoy the tasty summer treats.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE?

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 by Dale Coover

A little some thing for everyone and sure to make anyone feel great about themselves.
BIRTHDAY GIFT BASKETS, HOUSEWARMING GIFT BASKETS, MEAT AND CHEESE GIFT BASKETS, UNIQUE HOLIDAY GIFT BASKETS.

There are various social theories concerning gift economies. Some consider the gifts to be a form of reciprocal altruism. Another interpretation is that social status is awarded in return for the 'gifts'. Consider for example, the sharing of food in some hunter-gatherer societies, where food-sharing is a safeguard against the failure of any individuals daily foraging. This custom may reflect altruism, it may be a form of informal insurance, or may bring with it social status or other benefits.

A gift basket is sure to make the person receiving it to feel elevated in stature, if not make them just plain feel good.

WINE GIFT BASKETS AND LIMITED SHIPPING

Friday, June 19, 2009 by Dale Coover
We carry a selection of WINE GIFT BASKETS, but there are some States that prohibit shipping into them.
Each state has it's own liquor laws and some counties have there own also. I personally know a few counties that are dry ( no alcohol at all ).
Years ago when you where on a airline you could not have a alcoholic drink when flying over Kansas. Pennsylvania has State stores where you buy wine and alcohol. You can buy beer in a bar or package store and at a distributor.
When getting a wine gift basket in New York the wine has to be in a separate package it can not be in the same package as the food.
Fortunately not all gift baskets have that restriction, it would be hard to get a GOURMET HOLIDAY GIFT BASKET across state lines. Specialty Gift Baskets and housewarming Gift Baskets would have to be hand delivered.

Take a look at our WINE GIFT BASKETS and see if we can ship to your state

Good Morning Sunshine

The Cutty Sark is a ship that was used in bringing Tea from the far east in the 1800's.
It is in dry dock now in Greenwich England. It was the fastest ship at the time and being the fastest ship meant higher profits for the importers. At the time it may have taken 3 months or more to bring a shipment of tea half way around the world.
Today it on takes a few hours or a few days to send a COFFEE AND TEA GIFT BASKETS to most places in the US. They make Great Birthday Gift Ideas and Housewarming Gift Baskets or a Holiday Gift Basket Idea or a Corporate Holiday Gift Basket.

Chocolate yum yum eatum up

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 by Dale Coover

Chocolate contains alkaloids such as theobromine and phenethylamine, which have physiological effects on the body. It has been linked to serotonin levels in the brain. Scientists claim that chocolate, eaten in moderation, can lower blood pressure.
Whether this is true or not you need to test it for yourself. Take a bite and see if you feel better. Give some chocolate to a friend or love one and see the smile on their face, are the result in?
I would bet the smiles have it !
We offerSpecialty snack baskets, atheme gift basket such as housewarming gift baskets or a Kosher Food Gift Basket. Take a look

England part 6

Thursday, March 26, 2009 by Dale Coover

This is Leeds castle in England. It was ocuppied until the owner passed in the 1990's and then it went in to a trust. It was bought in the 1930's by an American,it has a moat or/pond around it and is accessed over a small bridge.
You will see in the next picture it would take several housewarming gift baskets to welcome someone here. It would take a lot of hours to decorate for the holidays so maybe some unique holiday gift baskets would be welcome.

This is the front of Leeds castle. You can take tours thru the castle, the inside still has stone walls and must cost a lot to heat. The windows are metal and the floors are stone in most parts and it winds thru stairs and room after room. Probaly would be a great place for kids to run thru!

I hope you like the pictures until next time ENJOY!

England part 4

Thursday, March 26, 2009 by Dale Coover

This is Windsor Castle it is a privately owned property of the Queen of England but is open for tours to the public. Althought not all of it it is open to the public and some affairs of state are held here. It is quite impressive with gardens and a view of Eaton which is with in walking distance. The only thing not so great about it is they built it too close to Heathrow airport! You can hear and see the jets taking off from the airport ( shame they built the airport so close )

This place comes with it's own 24 hour security sytem.
I don't know if it would be appropiate to send housewarming gift baskets to the occupants. It would make a great place to have a birthday, so maybe some birthday gift baskets. The guards are stone face and do not respond to any heckles, they are into thier jobs. I hope you like the pictures until next time ENJOY!

Travels in England

Thursday, March 26, 2009 by Dale Coover
This is not London Bridge. This is Tower Bridge over the Thames and it is next to the Tower of London. It is a draw bridge so larger ships and boats can get up river.
The Thames is a tidal river, meaning it ebbs and flows. This picture is when it was near high tide. When at low tide you can walk along the river edge and maybe find little artifacts, like pipe stems or buttons from years gone by.

This is the Tower of London where they kept all the bad guys, and maybe not so bad guys. This was the place they where executed also.
Henry the VIII's wife where here also. The infamous WWII nazi  Rudolph Hess was a guest here. The list is quite long of famous lodgers.

This is the entry of traitors gate on the River thames at the Tower of London. The entry is also know as Sir Thomas Moore's gate as he was a quest here .The interior is anything but welcoming and must have been cold and damp. However the room Sir Thomas Moore was in had a desk and a fireplace. I wonder if any one sent them get well gift baskets, housewarming gift baskets or unique gift baskets? Just kidding ! Thanks for visiting and I hope you like the pictures until next time ENJOY!

This guy was on the look out for gourmet holiday gift basket or any thing else that might move
Until next time ENJOY!
