 Wind power is one of the future sources of energy that looks promising, and will help cut our dependence on foriegn oil. The sound of a wind turbine blade is hard to describe and the sound of a wind farm is even harder to describe. I had the opportunity to visit a testing site for wind towers the blades on some of them are 65 to 130  foot long or more, the towers are 200 to three hundred feet tall. The one I visited had a ladder in the center and you need to climb it, to get to the top and there was not much room to spare going up. The view from the top was great, it was windy and a little cold that day. You can imagine it takes a little bit of a breeze to get the blades moving,so location is high on the list.













This wind turbine is just south of Boulder,Colorado. The mountains in the back ground are the flatirons in Boulder. Called the foothills of the Rockies.

When I was in Tanzania there where many birds, hawks, eagles and vultures.
Many where very colorful, all of them where interesting.
